With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joanna Kay Mathson (Moses Lake, Washington), born in Nampa, Idaho, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2026 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Butchart and Alice Butchart (Roberts); and her brother Dennis. She is survived by: her children, Eric, Lee and Lisa Echterkanp; her grandchildren, Alexandra, Malory (Justin Borthwick), Zechariah, Zoe, Emma, Molly Mathson, Mason, Carter, Ella Echternkamp and Emily Mathson (Justice Straub); her great grandchildren, Timothy, Ezekiel Borthwick, Eliza, Rhys Straub and Shane Mathson; and her sister Marcia Butchart.
