He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfredo Valdez (Aniseto) and Matilde Gonzalez; his sons, Ramon, Cesar and Jose Luis; his son-in-law Francisco Villa; and his siblings, Juan, Miguel, Raul, Arnulfo, Nicanor, Maria and Elida.

He is survived by: his wife Antonia Valdez; and his children, Jesus, Alfredo, Cipriano, Juanita Villa and Sylvia Corona (Ramon). He is also survived by 22 grandkids, 39 great grandkids, 6 great great grandkids and numerous other family members.
