He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughters, Melissa Klander (Galen) and Sarah Johnson (Cory); his grandchildren, Kaelynn, Landon, Briella, Madison and Emma; his mother Dolores Knutzen (Skillman); his stepmother Carroll Stacey; his brothers, Norm (Pam), Don (Kristin), Dick, Mike (Teresa) and Rob; his father Glenn Stacey; and his brother Aaron Stacey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Backcountry horseman of Washington (Whatcom chapter) or Bellingham Cancer Center.
