She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Nagel and Bodil Nagel (Pedersen); her son Robert; and her sisters, Louise Johnston, Leona "Mae" Garten and Barbara Young.
She is survived by: her children, David Helgeson (Dawn Collins), Cheryl Thompson (Dan) and Connie Martin (Rich); her grandchildren, Tiani Morrow (Jeremy), Nicole Brooks (Matthew), Alex Thompson (Berenice), Tyler Helgeson (Crystal), Nicholas Thompson, Andrew Thompson (Michelle) and Tessa Lewis; her great grandchildren, Sydney, Emma Valerie Epps, Jackson, Luka Morrow, Leif Helgeson, Elsie, Lila Thompson, Rhiannon Helgeson, Layla and Lorelei Lewis; and her siblings, Ernie Nagel and Laurie VanDewerker. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to any Alzheimer's/Dementia charity.
