With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marilyn Dowen Gardner (Mount Vernon, Washington), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 8, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Marilyn leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her former husband Ronald Dowen; her daughters, Debi, Sue and Kathy; and her husband John Gardner.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kern Funeral Home (1122 S 3rd St, Mount Vernon, WA 98273).
