He was predeceased by: his parents, Dirk VanderPol and Emma VanderPol; and his brother Don VanderPol. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Tara Pasternak (Anthony) and Tyler VanderPol (Joey); his grandchildren, Emma Fredlund, Colin Fredlund, Anyka VanderPol, Kannon VanderPol and Solomon Pasternak; his siblings, Vern VanderPol (Judy), Gerald VanderPol and Patty VanderYacht (Rick); and his sister-in-law Tena VanderPol. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Kern Funeral Home (1122 S 3rd St, Mount Vernon, WA 98273).
Memorial Donations will be given to the Alzheimer's Association, Washington State Chapter or to the charity of your choice in his honor.
