He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Johnston and Elmer Johnston; and his wives, Eleanor Francis Snyder Johnston and Joyce Augusta Miller Johnston. He is survived by: his sisters, Penny Strawn (Richard) and Dona Rasmussen (Harold); his children, Linda Day, Gary Johnston, Randy Ruegsegger, Karen Johnston and Byron Sears; his grandchildren, Brenna, Brianne and Amy; and his great grandchildren, Lexi, Brealle, Pasley, Grace and Bennett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Brookside Funeral Home (500 Prospect Rd, Moxee, WA 98936).
