He is survived by: his children, Gary Agapith, Victoria Atkins, Felicia Atkins, Danielle Atkins and Vickie; his siblings, Patricia Atkins, Bonita Herman and Reggie Atkins; and his close friend Patsy Randall. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
