He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Ferdig and J'Hannah Ferdig; and his brothers, Russel and Robert (Juanita). He is survived by: his brothers, Gerald Ferdig (Patty) and Roger Ferdig (Sandy); his children, Jeff Ferdig of Sedro-Woolley, Terri Boucher (Scott) of Oak Harbor, James Ferdig of Colorado Springs and Robert Ferdig (Kimberly) of Burlington; and his grandchildren, Donna Kay Christy, Sean Ferdig (Samantha), Douglas Ferdig, Joel Boucher (Mercedes), Jordan Boden (Brendon), Eban Ferdig (Daisy) and Kyliegh Ferdig. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
