He was predeceased by: his wife Elfreda Pearl Eller of Wenatchee; his son Fredric David Holmes; his great grandchild Ryler Aaron Mattox; and his siblings, Philip Holmes and Dorothy Frazier.
He is survived by: his children, Frederick Boyd Dietterle of Monterey, CA, Alesia Beth Nonemaker (Keith) of Camp Hill, PA, Connie Bedient (Danny) of Spokane, WA, Pamela Liley (David) of Wenatchee, WA and Lauri Paez (Johnny) of Nooksack, WA; and his siblings, Beverly Faber, Barbara Abrahamse and Franklin Holmes (Betty). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
He had a big generous heart, shown by his willingness to lend a helping hand and donate to various causes.
