He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Ranger and Lavina Burnett; his sisters, Dixie Lee Kolb and Lucia Laskey (Fisher); and his granddaughter Fiona Ranger.
He is survived by: his wife Ottilie Ranger; and his children, Edward Ranger (Jennifer), Monica Ranger, Heidi Ranger, Barbara T., Ted Ranger, Bruce Ranger and Cecilia Ranger. He is also survived by three grandchildren; and many extended family.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Michael Parish Church (1055 Boundary St SE, Olympia, WA 98501). The military honors will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Tahoma National Cemetery (18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98042).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to a "Plant a Tree" program in Edward's honor—an enduring tribute to a man who loved the earth, his country, and his family.
