He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Cowan and Thelma Cowan; and his sister Peggy Martin. He is survived by: his wife Diane; and his children, Juanita Rouse, Crystal Smith, Jason Compton and James McDade. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
