She was predeceased by: her parents, John McKinlay and Hazel Marie McKinlay (Underwood); her siblings, Dorothy (Waite), John "Jack", Wilson, Frances (Jones), Phyllis (Shaner) and James "Jim"; and her husband Darhl Avery.
She is survived by: her children, Darhl Avery Jr. "DJ" and Leslie Munson; her daughter-in-law Lorri Avery; her grandchildren, Rachel, Paige, Nick and Shane; and her great grandchildren, Tyler, Aalaya and Leilani. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces.
After taking time off to raise her family, she worked for the Agriculture/Forestry Foundation, then moved on to the Washington State Lottery as the Executive Assistant to the Director.
