He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Hammerstrom and Marvel Johanna'Hanna' Hammerstrom (Halberg); his sister Marie True; his brother-in-law Cal Ek; his grandchildren, Shane Rotschy and Mally Bruckelmyer; and his great grandchild Ivy Nelson (Christian).
He is survived by: his wife Sharon; and his children, Shannon Tikka (Dale), Natalie Hampton (Royce), Lisa Nelson (Alan), Jeri Bruckelmyer (Jeff), Kelly Lamberg (Jed), Marla McBride (James), Nick Hammerstrom (Jeana), Dane Hammerstrom (Leah) and Macy Rotschy (Marius).
