She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Gidley-Goad (Scott), Jeannie Gidley-Benson, Joyce Gidley-Hill (Jim) and Louise Shaffer-Plock (Rob); her siblings, Linda Yockey-Gidley and Daniel Yockey (Geraldine); her grandchildren, Jessica, Sarah, Justin, James, Jakob, Jerek, Jeffrey, Josie, Cole, Lance and Victoria; her great grandchildren, Brock, Jazlyn, Braycee, Jordyn, Emmett and Ramsey; her husband Robert "Bob" Shaffer Jr.; her son Mark Steven Gidley; and her siblings, Everett Yockey Jr., Caroline Ruth Palmer, Anna Marie "Sissy" Franklin and Neva Patricia "Pat" Rector-Gidley.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sunset Gardens Event Center (915 Bypass Hwy, Richland, WA 99352).
Her passion for community service has inspired the family to request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Judith A. Gidley Family Resource Center in-care-of C.A.C., 720 W. Court St Pasco, WA, 99301.
