She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Marguerite and Joseph Hugh Arterburn; her husband Donald H. Avery; and her siblings, Paula Arterburn Hobbs and Dee Allen Arterburn.
She is survived by: her sons, William, Robert, Larry and Mark Higginson; and her stepchildren, Rick, Mark Avery and Kathy Avery Davis. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, her family and friends.
She was also a proud member of Locust Grove that raised money for charity and scholarships.
