He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard G. Merker and Marian E. Merker; and his uncle John Eckman. He is survived by: his wife Jamelyn Merker; his stepson Lance (Donna Beeson); his children, RJ, Jackson, Trey and Lily Beeson; his stepdaughter Michelle Murray (Kermit); his sons, Matthew and Nathan Murray; his sister Phyllis Hill (William); his niece Melissa Youmans (Austin); his aunt Robin Eckman; and his cousin Sarah Sargent (Shaun).
