He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Bowden and Rose Lee Wilson; his wife Joyce Adelle Horne (Horne); his stepfather Odin Mauland; his sisters, Tina See, Loie Westberry and Joni Sanders; and his in-laws, Glenn, Eleanor Horne, Melba Horne, Rick Horne and Jon Horne.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles Edward (Theresa) of Spokane Valley and Darren Thomas (Lory) of Snoqualmie; his grandchildren, Erika Rose (Quinn) of Rathdrum, Idaho, Parker (Lacey) of Post Falls, Idaho, Brianne Bowden of Liberty Lake and Noelle Bowden of Spokane Valley; his siblings, Ed (Sharon) and Boots King; his in-laws, Dr. Curtis Horne of Gig Harbor, Gerald Horne (Jeri) of Tacoma, Beverly, Rich Seston of Palmdale and Sybil Engdahl of Moline, Illinois.; and his extended family, Kelly Lorenzen and Lindsey Fiker of Mount Vernon.
