He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Allen and Theresa Van Allen (Bachman). He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his children, Jenn Rumbaugh (Brian), Joe Hoop (Katie) and Chris Hoop (Sarah); his grandchildren, Caleb, Hailey, Chloe and Zoey; and his pet Molly.

A memorial service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (440 NE Ash St, Pullman, WA 99163).

The family suggests memorial donations to Sacred Heart Parish or to the American Cancer Society.
