He is survived by: his close friend Ann McCormack-Adams; his grandchildren, Levi, Preston Sheckles (Elizabeth), Kris, Kody, Rosi Angell (Rebecca), Kimberly McCormack (Levi), Andy Vargas, Adamo, Annabella Pecchioli (Margaret) and Cora Marchewitz (Anntionette); Elizabeth McCormack (TJ), Rebecca Angell (Shawn), Levi McCormack, Margaret Pecchioli (Cosimo) and Anntionette McCormack-Adams (Jeremey). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

Mike will be remembered for his devotion to family, his commitment to service and his contributions to science.
