We announce the death of Cindy Gilnick of Puyallup, Washington, who passed away on August 18, 2026, at the age of 74. Cindy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kent Houghton and Irene "Chris" Saunders; her stepfather Charles "Speck" Saunders; her brother Bruce Houghton; and her stepbrother Greg Saunders.
She is survived by: her husband Chuck Gilnick; her daughters, Paula Roberts (Mike) and Kristi Kristoff; her stepdaughters, Renee Bauer (Brent) and Heather Gilnick; and her siblings, Vicky Breiting, Terry Wallace, Lori Wicks, Keith Houghton, Scott Houghton and Shelley Saunders. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and three great‑grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 5118 44th Ave E, Tacoma, WA 98443.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Cindy's memory may be made to MultiCare Hospice or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
