It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Howells of Rainier, Washington, who passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Archibald and Eva Archibald; her husband John Melvin Howells; and her daughter Debrah Jean Erickson. She is survived by: her daughters, Laurie Cantzler (Terry), Teena Scott (Rick), Myrna Jorgensen (Daniel), Mona Michaelis (Myron) and Mira (Scott). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Office - Mountain View Funeral Home (4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA 98499). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mountain View Memorial Park (4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA 98499). A reception will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Eagles Club (11609 Koeppen Rd SE, Yelm, WA 98597).
