He is survived by: his son Mark Kirk (Lindsey); his siblings, Terry Kirk (Rita), Bill Kirk (Patricia) and Hallee Gentry (Jim); his stepsiblings, Laurie Grimsrud (Jay), Karen Boysun, Julie Ruff and Curt Rice (Lisa); his stepfather Steve Rice; and his friends, Deborah Haley, Michael Pallson and Doug. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Doug will be remembered for his dry humor, his deep love for racing and dedication to charity.
