He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Franz Préts and Helen Pfeisinger; his siblings, Franz, Helen, Eddy, Otto and Charlotte; his wife Carol Kirstein; and his children, Andrew, Suzanne, Lisa Bialek (Paul), John, Angela Kieras (Dave) and James. He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild.
