He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Annie Pearl Gardner (Giles) and John Andrew Gardner; his wife Judith Marie Gardner (Miller); his children, Scott Duane Gardner and Susan Marie Gardner of Renton; and his grandson Tyler James Gardner of Stanwood, Washington..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Children's Hospital Foundation in Seattle Washington.
