He was predeceased by: his wife Diana C. Roger; his parents, Lottie Ellen and LeRoy Roger; his sister Mary Corman; and his son Mark.

He is survived by: his brother Jerry Roger (Tetyana); his daughters, Pamela Laborde (Edward) and Shelley Smith; his grandsons, Joshua Smith (Jennafer), Mark Laborde and Matthew Laborde; and his great grandchild Jayce Smith.
