He was predeceased by: his parents, Seiichi Tamaki and Tora Tamaki. He is survived by: his wife Martha; his sons, Steve (Michelle) and Craig (Traci); and his grandchildren, Tyler (Megan), Tana, Alayna and Tali.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Tacoma Buddhist Temple (tacomabt.org).
