He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Christina; and his siblings, Darrell, Elaine Nichols and Marjorie Ball.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Charlene; his children, Richard (Shelly), Donald (Sandra) and Linda; and his grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve), Richard (Sarim), Casey (Chelsea), Lindsey, Timothy and Jeffrey. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in John's name to the Portland House of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon & SW Washington.
