He was predeceased by : his father Emmanuel; his siblings, Otto, Helen, Erna and Marion; his wife Claudia; his son Richard; and his grandmother Holli Kembel (Jadine).

He is survived by : his brother Wilmer; his child Dale (Bonnie); and his grandchildren, Janell, Rodney, Jesse, Ray, Whitney and Brooke. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
