Thomas Hugh McNeilly Obituary

Thomas H. (Tom) McNeilly was born on July 28, 1965, and passed from this life on Thursday, February 27, 2020. An outdoorsman and family man, Tom was often at Coeur d' Alene and other lakes, fishing, boating or riding dirt bikes in the desert. A proud member of the United States Air Force, Tom graduated from Freeman High School, Freeman, WA.

He retired from the Mountain Home Air Force Base (Idaho) where he had risen to the rank of Master Sergeant. He served his country for more than 26 years. Sergeant McNeilly was a loyal Airman as well as a loving father.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Sandra (Thompson) McNeilly; daughters, Megan McNeilly and partner, Rebecca; Kameo Denton and husband, Stanley; one son, Kory Froelich; and grandchildren Leyera, Gyanna, and Jetson. He is also survived by his sister, Kristen Johnson (husband Bryan), and his brothers, Robert McNeilly (wife April), Kevin Groat, and Kurt Noonan; as well as nephews, Joshua, Austin (wife Kelsey), Steven and Robee; nieces, RaeAnne, Cheyenne, and Sara; and great-niece, Adrian and great-nephew Owen. Also, aunts Shirly Doolittle and Barbara (Bobbie) Melcher; uncles, Bobbie Felber (wife Dorothy) and Bob Frazier; cousins, Sharon, Jim, Monty, Scott, Kevin, Danny, Debbie, Tim, Willie, John, Chuck, Grant, Gale, and Sue.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Marvin McNeilly, and his mother, Sandra Felber McNeilly, as well as his second mother in life, Francine Groat, brothers, Daniel (Toby) Groat, and Doug Groat, and cousins, Steve (Chipper) and Tim. Graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at Fairview Cemetery in Rockford, WA.
