She was predeceased by : her grandfather Gilbert Ward Pierce; and her uncle Ward Pierce. She is survived by : her mother Deborah Lillquist (Pierce); her husband Michael Shawgo; her children, Olivia, Morgan and Liam Shawgo; her parent Kemp Lillquist; her sisters, Melissa Sewright and Jodi McLaughlin; and her grandmother Patricia Pierce. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

“I was so shocked when I heard this news, I didn't think it was real. Danielle and I grew up across the street from eachother and shared so many memories. It is because of Danielle and her husband that I met my husband. Although Danielle and I lost touch she has always had a special place in my heart. My deepest sympathy goes out to Danielle's family and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her kind soul.”
