He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara "Bunny" Luxenberg; his son Dave "Coach" Luxenberg; his daughter-in-law Darcy "Legal Eagle" Luxenberg; his daughter Toni; his grandchildren, Dylan Luxenberg, Caitlin O'Connell, Tristan Luxenberg, Liam O'Connell and Jack Luxenberg; and his siblings, Marsha Rosenberg (Fred), Steven Luxenberg (Mary Jo Kirschman), Jeffery Luxenberg (Debbie) and Evelyn Miller (late Hurschul).
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Flintoft's Funeral Home and Crematory (540 E Sunset Way, Issaquah, WA 98027). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Cedar Lawns Memorial Park (7200 180th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052).
In lieu of flowers (which just crowd the infield), donations may be sent to the American Red Cross; the Make-a-Wish Foundation; the King County Library Foundation; the Luxenberg Family Scholarship Fund at the University of Michigan; or the Sammamish YMCA.
