He was predeceased by: his son Don; his parents, Gottlieb and Rose; and his brothers, Laverne Trigger' and Vernon (Jean).

He is survived by: his wife Jean Marks; his daughter Debbie Schmautz (Tom Depsky) of Englewood, CO; his sister Shirley; his siblings-in-law, Francis Tibor and Charlotte Schmautz; and his nieces, Shelley (Gary), Stacey (Mike), Wendy (Mike) and Tracy. He is also survived by 7 great nieces and nephews, 8 great-great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great-great niece.
