He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Contreras and Linda Lou Melbuer; his brother Tom Contreras; and his grandmother Inez Carley. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Contreras of Seattle, Washington; his siblings, Jim Contreras (Karen) of Seattle, Washington and Lisa Rodriguez (Mike) of Yuma, Arizona; and his sister-in-law Raquel.
