He was predeceased by : his wife Meta. He is survived by : his daughters, Annemieke (Jeff Powers) and Doreen Kiss (Ron Wiener); and his grandchildren, Cathelyne, Shannon Powers, Ben and Jake Wiener. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests making a donation in memory of Istvan to the Arthritis Foundation, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, or any charitable organization that.
