He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward William Ernest and Margaret Elizabeth Bell; his sons, Doug and Tom; his brother Frank (Rema Ernest); and his sister-in-law Janet (Jerry Vriens).
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Willett; and his sibling's children, Kimberly Atkins, Elizabeth Ehlin, Deborah Vriens and Michael Ernest.
