He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bechan Satya Nand and Parbha Wati Kalidarn; his brother Gyaneshwar; and his mother-in-law Kamalpatti. He is survived by: his children, Arleen Ashika Nand, Jenna Jotika Nand and Kamal; his wife Nayantra Devi Shandil; his adoptive son Rob Gariepy; and his siblings, Prabhuanand (Manjula), Sushila (Abhinash), Nirmala, Sharwan (Sylvia), Pushpa (Kishore), Arun (Nellie), Pushpanjali (Jim), Bob, Pranita (Praveen) and Vineeta (Stein). He is also survived by his wife and daughters, gentleness with animals.
In lieu of flowers, Kamal's family requests that you honor his memory by spending time with an elderly relative, neighbor, or community member suffering from cognitive decline and to provide support and comfort to their caregivers.
