He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Knight and Odessa Knight. He is survived by: his wife Kaye; and his children, K. C. Waddel (Richard) of Waynesburg, PA, Kelly Hoyt (Douglas), Kristin Hicks, David Knight (Regine) of Montreal, CA and Karin Tollefson Iuliano (Bill).

Memorials may be directed to the Medical Education Scholarship Trust (of which he was the founding chair) of the Idaho Medical Association, 305 W Jefferson, Boise, 83702.
