He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Margaret Lester and Harvey "Joe" Finner; his adoptive father Clarence Shields (Ron); his brother Dick Gibson; his wife Charlotte Helton Shields; his former wife Patricia Gibson McGill; his children, Vicky Shields, Teresa Shields, Ron Shields, Sean Cornett and Peter Hodges; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Chantima, Caden, Chase, Riley and Willow.
