He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria Pelter; his parents, Irving Pelter and Hannah Pelter; his brother Morris; his sister-in-law Anne Pelter; and his nephew Richard Pelter.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Pelter of Vestal, Brian Pelter of Brooklyn and David Pelter (Patricia); his grandchildren, Samantha Pelter and Max Pelter of Mercer Island, WA; his brothers-in-law, Philip Adelman (Ruth) of Stamford, CT and Stanley Adelman (Patricia) of Fayetteville, AR; and his sibling's children, Lance Pelter (Maureen) of Merritt Island, FL, Jill Shiner (Kenneth) of Oak Park, IL, Frank Adelman (Lori) of Darien, CT, William Adelman of Trumbull, CT, Jenny Adelman (Sam Saltz) of Providence, RI and Robert Adelman of East Falmouth, MA. He is also survived by 10 grandnieces and grandnephews.
