Robert Staszak Obituary

Robert John Staszak, of Lacey (Olympia) Washington, native of Chicago, Illinois, was born on August 20, 1950 and left us on March 16, 2024, after a year of gallantly resisting cancer. Son of the late Zigmond C and the late Helen M (nee Madeksas). Beloved brother of the late Zigmond P (Margaret), Barbara A Gilbert (Roy), and Edward J (the late Jill Lukas). Loving uncle of Michael (Kirsten), David (Michelle) and Brent (Tessera). Great uncle to Sophia, Cameron, Landon and Abigail.

He will be missed by the many friends he made throughout the various stages of his life. A graduate of Hubbard High and attendee of Daley College, he was appreciative of a variety of music, but in particular, The Moody Blues. He was a General Motors retiree after 32 years of service, and an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, hunter, environmentalist and gardener. He was also a gentle, kind, loving soul.

Arrangements are by McComb & Wagner Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Chicago.
