He was predeceased by: his parents, Stella Nesland and Torkel Nesland; and his brother Myron Nesland. He is survived by: his wife Kathie; his children, Kim and Mike; his granddaughter Tessa; and his siblings, Bobby (LaVonne), Kenny and Rhonda (Bob Demick). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

If desired, the family asks that memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Ron's honor.
