“Alex and I were young men together, and he was special to me. We met in college, and were roommates, bandmates, friends. We visited each others homes, and stayed up late together imagining the future. He was sensitive, quirky, funny, and full of life. He was an original- he made his own clothes, and infected me with slang that persists with me to this day- earning me side eyes from coworkers when I reference a frisky johnson that was bronting at the gym. He is gone too soon.”

“I was thinking of Alex today. He dated our daughter something like 15 years ago. She was seriously unhappy to hear of Alex's passing. They had kept in contact through the years. They definitely had a thing going, but his high energy personality wore her out. He was very talented in a number of areas, but never got to a point of stability and security. Being Christian, I believe he's in a much better place now, and believing in future lives, I wish him well. Lee Walsh”
