It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael J. Nelson (Spanaway, Washington), who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Kenneth League; and his brother-in-law Jason League. He is survived by: his parents, Robert James Nelson and Karen Schneider Nelson; his wife Tami League Nelson; his sons, Jacob Foster Nelson (Taylynn Twiggs) and James Kenneth Nelson (Genevieve Buchanan); his sister Caroline Calapp (Kenton); his mother-in-law Judy League; his niece Shauna Lammi (Rikki); his nephews, Bryan Dailey and Mitchell Dailey (Kami); his step-niece Jennifer Darling (Troy); and his great-nephew Henry. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the FIR Lane Memorial Park (924 176th St E, Spanaway, WA 98387). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of St Paul (22419 108th Ave E Ste. A, Graham, WA 98338).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Michael's memory to Junior Achievement of Washington - South Puget Sound Region or The Lutheran Church of St. Paul.
