Rae McIntire Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Rae McIntire of Spanaway, Washington. Rae, born on February 13, 1935 in Prairie City, Oregon, passed away on August 31, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rae McIntire to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Drury Russel McCurdy and Kathlyn Evonne McCurdy (Caid); her husband Cappy Winston McIntire; and her brother James G. McCurdy. She is survived by: her children, Mark L. McIntire of Spanaway, WA, Scott D. McIntire (Corinna) of Tualatin, OR and Shawna Rae McIntire of Anchorage, AK; her grandchildren, Cameron C. McIntire, Christina McGinnis (Ryan) and Brittany Leitzke (Jason); her great grandchildren, Shea McGinnis, Lochlan McGinnis, Caleb Leitzke and Avery Leitzke; and her siblings, Kathy R. McCurdy (Don Patrick) of Spanaway, WA and Michael L. McCurdy of Prairie City, OR.. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM and at 9:00 PM at the South Tacoma Masonic Center (5405 S Puget Sound Ave, Tacoma, WA 98409).
In lieu of flowers she requests that donations be made to Vida Chapter #35 for Brigadoon Service Dogs, Planned Parenthood, or NOURISH Pierce County Food Bank.
