It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Mabel Sims (Spokane Valley, Washington), born in Chattaroy, Washington, who passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Vance Sims; her children, Duane Robert Brown, Cynthia Kay McLeran, Dennis Alan Sims, Terry Eugene Sims, Linda Marie Wall, Jonny Lee Sims, Paul Raymond Burnett, Phillip Leland Burnett, Anthony Neal Sims and Steven Glen Sims; her brother Raymond Wesley Gearheart; her parents, Ella May Gearheart and Charles H Gearheart; and her siblings, Wallace Lincoln Gearheart, Stanley Lee Gearheart and Elsie Mae Springer. She was also cherished by her 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
