With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Kathryn Lee Warthen of Spokane Valley, Washington, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. The passing of Kathryn leaves a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill McCray and Martha McCray; her sister-in-law Marilyn; and her nephew Braulio. She is survived by: her husband Gary Warthen of Spokane Valley; her children, Katy Warthen, Kelsey Warthen, Jared Warthen and Joshua Warthen; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Burris, Alice Burris, Iain Burris and William Burris; and her siblings, Bindy Kincaid (Earl) of Ohio, Jim (Virginia) of Ohio, Doug (Lori) of Oklahoma and Patsy (Chad) of Utah. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 4th 2026 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (14111 E 16th Ave, Veradale, WA 99037).
In lieu of flowers or additional donations, the family encourages those who wish to honor Kathy to find a way to serve someone around them and make the world just a little bit better. Donations to ALSSO, an ALS organization that supported Kathy immensely, are also welcome.
