He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Albert Martin Erdman and Ida Erdman (Sauer); his grandfather Johann Sauer, Jr.; his stepmother Linda Dorothea; his sisters, Dorothy Marie and Lillian May; his children, Irene Mabel, Pauline Elizabeth, Caroline Ann, Robert Richard and Walter Martin; his wife Hazel Erdman (Boyce); and his siblings, Robert Erdman, Caroline Sharp, Dorothy Look, Lillian LeRoy, Irene Brownfield of Otis Orchard, WA, Pauline Stolp (Dick) of Lolo, MT and Linda Stewart (Harley) of Spokane Valley, WA. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.

In Janusry he contracted COVID, was in the hospital and then rehab until he was released in March.
