Delana Hope Erickson Obituary
Delana Hope Erickson (Lanie) AKA: Pinky born 03/10/1977 passed away
unexpectedly on 03/13/2018 at the young age of 41.
Preceded in death by her adorable baby daughter Mercedes Rose Johnson,
sister Tanya, Grandparents Bob & Lorraine Gilbert, Delane Hayes and Father
Richard Erickson. Survived by her Mother Renee Whipple, her 3 children
Jeremiah, Carson and MacKara, brother Michael, sister Lori Belle 2 long time
besties Kathrynn and Charlotte and special fam bestie Emma Jean lastly, her
furry baby Maggie Mae and many aunties, uncles and cousins.
Lanie's Mom shared Lanie for her last 4 years of school with Jack and Denise
Kestell and their 6 children so Lanie could attend Freeman High school where
she met & married her high school sweetheart Greggy and graduated with
honors.
Lanie then went onto earn a B.A. from Gonzaga University, an M.A. from
Washington State University both in Criminal Justice, lastly Lanie went
onto obtain a Psy D. in clinical Psychology from Agrosy University. All
while being legally blind!! "cant" was not in Lanie's vocabulary!
After proving all the doubters wrong by obtaining all of her education Lanie
found a few new passions. Lanie loved Real-Estate and was a beloved member
of the Spokane Association Of Realtors. Lanie earned an assoc. Broker
license after being a broker with her uncle Jack at Kestell Company where
she was astronomically successful for 6 years.
Lanie, even though being legally blind had a passion for photography and was
an avid painter.
Lanie owned Rose Photography and did weddings, parties births and birthdays
etc.. where she met and maintained lifelong friendships.
Lanie touched everyone she met with her contagious giggle and her amazing
beauty inside and out.
Lanie's family are having a celebration to honor and remember her at Darcy's
Restaurant in the University city mall on Sprague and University Sunday May
20th from 11:00 to 1:00. We are asking anyone who was lucky enough to have a
"Lanie original" painting to please bring it along to be displayed during
her celebration and any memories you have can be shared as well.
