Though Derek Pierson may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his son Griffin Bengochea; and his siblings, Bryn Nakamura, Sarah Farley and David Jones. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, June 16th 2025 and on Friday, June 20th 2025.
In his memory, donations may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous or organizations.
